President AJK pays tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on his birth anniversary
Muzaffarabad: The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Choudhary has paid glorious tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Barrister Sultan in a statement noted that Jinnah was a strong supporter of the Kashmiri people’s struggle for freedom. He worked tirelessly to resolve the Kashmir dispute and had a deep desire for Kashmir to be liberated from Indian occupation and become part of Pakistan.
He emphasized that Jinnah considered Jammu and Kashmir crucial for Pakistan’s survival and famously referred to the region as Pakistan’s jugular vein.
Barrister Sultan said that Quaid-e-Azam’s vision was to provide Muslims with a homeland where they could enjoy religious freedom, social development, and economic opportunities. He further stated that Jinnah fulfilled the dream of Allama Iqbal by creating an independent state where future generations of Muslims could live in liberty and peace.
He praised Quaid-e-Azam as a global leader, a great jurist, and a historical figure who introduced the Two-Nation Theory to the Muslims of the subcontinent. His struggle, which culminated in the passing of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan, offering a separate homeland for Muslims.
