APHC AJK holds protest demo in front of Indian High Commission in Islamabad
Islamabad: A protest demonstration was organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in front of the Indian High Commission here on Sunday to mark India’s Republic Day as Black Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of people, including women, children, the elderly, and youth, participated in the protest. The participants carried placards and black flags, raising slogans in favor of Kashmir and Pakistan.
The protest was led by Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, Convenor of APHC-AJK Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Faizullah Faraq, Mehrun Nisa, Pir Zain Gilani, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Advocate Parvez Ahmad, Javed Ahmad Butt, Syed Rashid Gardezi, and others.
The speakers highlighted that Kashmiris around the world observe India’s Republic Day as a Black Day to send a clear message to the international community that India is not a democracy but rather a colonial and imperial state. They emphasized that India has forcibly taken away the freedom of Kashmiris and is involved in war crimes in the occupied region.
The speakers further stated that India has no right to hold Republic Day celebrations in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. They also condemned India’s claims of normalcy in the region and stated that the international community should not be misled by India’s false narrative.
Despite India’s oppression and conspiracies, the speakers affirmed that the Kashmiri people remain committed to achieving the sacred mission of their martyrs and will continue their struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion.
At the conclusion of the protest, a rally was also taken to the Indian High Commission to register the protest.
