Er Rashid granted 2-day custody parole to attend Indian Parliament

Srinagar: The Delhi High Court, today, granted custody parole of two days to Awami Ittehad Party chief and Member of Indian Parliament from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Er Rashid.

According to Kashmir Media Service, reports said Er Rashid has been granted two-day custody parole to enable him to attend the Indian Parliament.

The court said that he is not allowed to use the internet or speak to the media during this period.

Rashid has been in jail since 2019 after he was charged by the infamous Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

He was elected as the Member of Parliament from the Baramulla constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
