CM Omar calls for listening to dismissed employees in IIOJK
Says Waqf Amendment Bill meant to target Muslims
Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged the occupation authorities, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, to provide a fair hearing to the employees dismissed from service, stressing that everyone is innocent until proven guilty under the law.
According to Kashmir Media Service, chief minister Omar Abdullah while reacting to the query about termination of three more government employees said, “If there is sufficient evidence against terminated employees and they are given a chance to prove themselves, but they could not, then it is fine”.
He said that if decision is taken without listening to them, then the law says everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
On being asked about the Waqf Amendment Bill, he said that it is against Muslims and there is no other reason behind it.
