CPI-M terms reation of IIOJK special status assault on constitution

Jammu: CPI-M leader Prakash Karat has urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill his promise of restoring statehood to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing the party’s 13th state conference in Jammu, Karat criticized the BJP-led government for undermining democracy, calling the 2019 revocation of IIOJK’s special status a major assault on the Constitution.

He emphasized that restoring statehood is essential for safeguarding democracy and the rights of IIOJK people.
