Indian army man injured in landmine blast in IIOJK’s Poonch
Jammu: An Indian army soldier was injured in a landmine blast in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the soldier, identified as Deepak Kumar, was injured after accidentally stepping on a landmine at a forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nangi-Takeri area of Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar.
He sustained injuries and was immediately airlifted to Udhampur for treatment, an Indian official said.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second landmine blast along the LoC in Poonch in the past 24 hours. Earlier, on Friday, another Indian army soldier was injured in a similar blast at Tarkundi in the district.
