Indian police seize property of two Kashmiris in Kupwara

Srinagar: The New Delhi-appointed administration, led by Lieutenant Governor, has seized the properties of two more Kashmiri civilians in the Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the properties, comprising three kanals and 12 marlas of land, owned by Tahir Ahmad Peer and Mohammad Ramzan Ganie, both residents of Qaziabad, Handwara, in the district.

Since the illegal abrogation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the BJP-led Indian government has intensified its campaign to deprive Kashmiris of their properties, homes, and lands. This strategy aims to economically weaken the local population while facilitating the transfer of confiscated properties to non-Kashmiri Hindus, systematically altering the territory’s demographic balance to advance the Hindutva agenda.
