Director Iqbal Academy vows to conduct research on Kashmir dispute

Lahore: Director of Iqbal Academy, Government of Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, has said that the Kashmir dispute is an international issue and struggle for its solution is lawful.

According to Kashmir Media Service, he made these remarks during a meeting with Inam Ul Hassan, Incharge of Kashmir Center Lahore, Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell, at his office.

Inam Ul Hassan briefed Dr. Rafiqui on the objectives and activities of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell.

Dr. Rafiqui said that Allama Iqbal’s poetry serves as a guiding force for the freedom movement and pledged to collaborate with the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell to promote the Kashmir cause. He said that Iqbal Academy will conduct academic research on various aspects of the Kashmir issue, urging universities to introduce new research fields on the subject.

He further recommended that literature on Kashmir be made available in Pakistani embassies to help diplomats effectively advocate for the cause.
