Muslim man’s house demolished for shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during India-Pakistan match
Mumbai: A Muslim man’s house was demolished in the Indian state of Maharashtra for shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during the India-Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Champions Trophy match between Pakistan and India was played in Dubai on February 23, which India won.
A local man accused a Muslim citizen and his family of shouting anti-India slogans. Indian media say that after the incident, the Malvan Municipal Council demolished the house of the Muslim citizen.
In the complaint, a businessman, associated with the junk business, his wife and their 15-year-old son, have been accused of shouting anti-India slogans.
According to Indian media, after the incident, the locals expressed anger and demanded action against the businessman.
Shiv Sena state assembly member Nilesh Rana took an aggressive stand on the issue, following which the Malvan Municipal Council bulldozed the businessman’s house.
The police had also arrested the family members, after which they were released on bail.
