Four workers dead, several injured as avalanche hits BRO camp in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Four laborers have been found dead, while 24 others were rescued in injured condition following an avalanche that struck a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) camp in Uttarakhand on Friday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the avalanche occurred in Mana village, bordering China. A total of 55 laborers were trapped in the incident, and search operations are ongoing for five others still buried under the snow. The laborers were part of a BRO team engaged in an infrastructure project.
Officials reported that 24 of the rescued individuals have been brought to Joshimath Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. One person with a spinal injury has been sent to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh.
