India using militaristic, communal tactics to stifle voice of Kashmiris: APHC
Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the use of militaristic and communal tactics by the Indian government to stifle the voices of the Kashmiri people who are peacefully striving for the exercise of plebiscite acknowledged by the United Nations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Hindutva regime led BJP in India has declared a full-fledged war against the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokesman pointed out that all Indian inhuman and violent acts under black laws including the arrests of youth and attaching properties would fail to deter the Kashmiri people from continuing their legitimate freedom struggle. He maintained that the right to self-determination is a fundamental human right and the Kashmiris will continue their struggle for the realisation of this inalienable right.
He said that the BJP regime is treating the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir worse than Israel is treating Palestinians. He stressed the need for unity to thwart India’s brutal designs and also called for a collective narrative against the anti-Kashmir policies in the territory by the Indian government.
The spokesman reiterated the Kashmiri people’s demand and urged the UN Secretary General and the global community to implement the world body’s resolutions on Kashmir through holding a free and fair plebiscite. He also appealed to the UN Human Rights Council and other international rights bodies to take stock of the grave human rights violations perpetrated, day in and day out, by the Indian forces in the territory and hold Indian BJP government and its regime in IIOJK accountable for the crimes against humanity.
