BJP regime attaches properties of four more Kashmiris in IIOJK
Jammu: Continuing with its anti-Kashmir colonial agenda, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian regime has attached properties of four more Kashmiris Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian police, under the BJP’s LG Minhaj Sinha, seized the properties of Najab Din, Mohammad Latif and Mohammad Bashir in the Kirni and Qasba areas of Poonch district.
The order, issued by the local court, imposed restrictions on these properties, preventing their sale, lease or any form of transaction without explicit permission from the police or designated authorities under Lieutenant Governor.
Indian police also attached a double-storied residential house belonging to Ilyas Ahmad Dar, a resident of Wandina Melhoura area of Shopian district under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, (UAPA).
The move is a part of the broader strategy of the BJP government to weaken the Kashmiris’ economy and spirit for right to self-determination promised by the international community through United Nations resolutions.
Since the violation of international laws by the Indian government and illegal revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the Indian BJP government has confiscated hundreds of properties belonging to Kashmiris, citing various pretexts. This ongoing campaign is widely seen as an attempt to economically destabilize Kashmiris and alter the region’s demographic composition by settling non-Kashmiris in their land.
