AJK more developed than IIOJK, NC MLA tells assembly
Jammu: Exposing the hollowness of Modi-led Indian government’s tall claims of infrastructure development, National Conference assembly member Saifullah Mir has said that facilities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir are better than those in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the legislator made these remarks while asking supplementary questions during question hour in the IIOJK Assembly.
Saifullah Mir drew a striking comparison between the Keran areas on both sides of the Line of Control, emphasizing that the facilities in Azad Kashmir’s Keran region are far superior to those in the Keran area of Kupwara district, located in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement provoked the BJP legislator RS Pathania who demanded that it be expunged from the assembly records.
