‘Don’t impose Hindi on us’, Prakash Raj slams Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM

Chennai: Noted actor and politician Prakash Raj has stated that the BJP and its allies are trying to impose Hindi on others, especially in South Indian states.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Prakash Raj, in a post on X, criticized Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, stating, “Do not impose your Hindi language on us. It is not about hating another language; it is about safeguarding our mother tongue and preserving our cultural identity with self-respect. Someone please explain this to Pawan Kalyan garu,” he remarked.

This reaction from Prakash Raj came in response to a recent speech by Pawan Kalyan at the Jana Sena Party’s 12th foundation day celebrations, where he had criticized Tamil Nadu politicians regarding the imposition of Hindi in the state. He pointed out that while these leaders oppose Hindi, they allow Tamil movies to be dubbed in Hindi for financial gain.

Pawan Kalyan’s remarks on the Hindi language have sparked widespread backlash from both the opposition and social media users across India.
