Kashmiris facing hardships due to unresolved Kashmir dispute: Nazir Ahmad Qureshi

Muzaffarabad: Chairman of the welfare organization Kashmir Al-Muslims, Nazir Ahmad Qureshi, has said that lasting peace and stability in South Asia is impossible without a resolution to the Kashmir dispute, and urged the international community to play an active role in resolving the dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Qureshi expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute continues to inflict severe hardships on the Kashmiri people, forcing hundreds of thousands to abandon their homes and migrate.

Highlighting the objectives of the organization, Qureshi also lauded the outstanding performance of refugee children. The ceremony was organized in honour of students who secured first and second positions in 13 seminaries run by Kashmir Al-Muslims across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition to Qureshi, the event was attended by Vice President Sanaullah Dar, Secretary General Raja Khalid Mehmood, Project Director Muhammad Aslam Kashmiri, refugee leader Uzair Ghazali, and others.

Pertinently, Kashmir Al-Muslims was founded in 1990 under the leadership of the late Maulana Ghulam Nabi Nausheri.
