World must hold India accountable for atrocities in IOJK: Mushaal Mullick at Islamabad seminar

Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, has strongly condemned India’s ongoing human rights abuses in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK), urging the international community to intervene and ensure the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a seminar co-hosted by the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) and Youth Forum Kashmir (YFK) in Islamabad to honour the martyrs of July 13, 1931, Mushaal, also the former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, called the martyrs eternal symbols of Kashmiris enduring struggle for the right to self-determination.
She said that since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, human rights abuses by Indian troops in IOJK have intensified, citing extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detentions, including that of her husband and JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, torture, demographic changes, and media blackouts as part of India’s brutal crackdown.
Mushaal applauded Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his unwavering resolve and strategic diplomacy in exposing India’s oppression internationally and rekindling global consciousness, thereby fortifying the Kashmiris stance for right to self determination.
She urged the international community to hold India accountable for its crimes against humanity in IOJK and uphold Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
IRS President Ambassador Jauhar, who presided over the event, paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir and reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm support for the Kashmiris’ just cause.
