Protesters in Kargil slam Indian media’s smear campaign against Khamenei
Kargil: The Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil, held a massive protest rally against “a malicious Indian and international media campaign” targeting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest, organised by the Baseej-e-Imam unit of IKMT, began from Markazi Jama Masjid and culminated at Lal Chowk Kargil, passing through Imam Khomeini Chowk. A large number of people from diverse walks of life participated, raising slogans against media propaganda and carrying placards expressing solidarity with Ayatollah Khamenei.
Speakers, including prominent leaders Haji Asgar Karbalai and Syed Ali Moosvi, condemned Indian and international media for spreading defamatory content. They said the campaign was part of a broader historical pattern to undermine Islamic unity and leadership.
“The enemies of Islam have always targeted Muslims leadership,” one speaker noted. The protest concluded with a collective pledge to resist ideological aggression and defend Islamic values.
