Indian troops martyr five more youth in Kulgam

Srinagar: Indian forces’ personnel in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred five more Kashmiri youths in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, bringing the total number of such killings in the territory to ten in the ongoing week.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youths were martyred during a cordon and search operation (CASO) launched in the Akhal forest area of Devsar.

The joint operation was carried out by personnel from the Indian army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police on Friday evening.

Indian Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps confirmed the killings in a post on X, stating that the operation was still ongoing.

Notably, Indian troops martyred three youth in Dachigam area of Srinagar on Monday and two more in the Kasiliyan area of Poonch on Wednesday, in two separate staged encounters.
