NIA conducts raids at houses of detained youth in Srinagar
Srinagar: New Delhi-controlled National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided several houses in Srinagar, Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the dreaded NIA carried out one such raid at a residential house of jailed Hashim Farooq Mir in Rustum Colony, Ikhrajpora area of Srinagar.
Hashim Farooq Mir, one of many Kashmiri youth labelled as Over Ground Workers (OGWs) by Indian forces, is currently detained under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. The NIA also raided houses of many other detained youths in Srinagar and adjoining areas.
The raids were part of the ongoing draconian law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), to harass people and weaken the stand of Kashmir for their righteous demand of plebiscite acknowledge by UN resolutions.
