Mirwaiz, Moosvi express grief, sorrow over Kishtwar tragedy
Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives and widespread destruction in the tragic incident of cloudburst in Kishtwar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a post on social media platform X expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured persons.
Meanwhile, senior APHC leader and head of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement in Srinagar also expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives due to the cloudburst in Kishtwar.
He said this tragedy is a shock not only to the affected families but also to the people of the entire Kashmir Valley and Jammu region.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the affected families and said, “We share their grief and sorrow in this hour of grief.”
It may be noted that at least 32 people have died and several have gone missing due to the cloudburst in the remote village of Chishoti in Kishtwar district.
