Rally held in Muzaffarabad to express gratitude on Pakistan’s independence anniversary
Muzaffarabad: A rally was held in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, to express gratitude on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th independence anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, despite heavy rain, a large number of people participated in the rally organized by the Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir .
The participants of the rally hoisted the flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir and marched on the main highway of the city.
They raised slogans like “La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah, Pakistan se rishta kiya la ilaha illallah” “Teri jaan meri jaan Pakistan Pakistan, hum sab ka kya arman Kashmir bane ga Pakistan”.
The participants of the rally also raised anti-India slogans on the occasion.
The rally was led by Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim and others.
On this occasion, the speakers said Pakistan is the centre of hope of the Kashmiri people. Today, the people of occupied Kashmir congratulate the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on its independence day and pay tribute to the founders of Pakistan, the martyrs of Pakistan and the Pakistani army.
They said Pakistan is a gift of Allah Almighty and a defensive wall of the Muslim Ummah. The Kashmiri people are continuing their struggle for accession to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the basis of the right to self-determination, they added.
The speakers said Pakistan is an important party to the Kashmir dispute and an advocate for the oppressed Kashmiri people. They said a strong and stable Pakistan is the guarantor of the freedom of the Kashmiris. The Kashmiris will continue their struggle until independence from India and accession to Pakistan, they maintained.
