DFP denounces Indian leadership’s war rhetoric, warns of regional instability

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly condemned the provocative and belligerent statements made by India’s political and military leadership, warning that such reckless rhetoric threatens to destabilize the entire South Asian region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, DFP spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal said the threatening remarks by India’s prime minister, defense minister, and service chiefs expose their aggressive mindset and deep-rooted Pakistan phobia. He said it was regrettable that instead of learning from past conflicts, the Indian leadership continues to indulge in hostile statements that could push the two nuclear-armed neighbors toward another dangerous confrontation.

Advocate Iqbal said that fanning hostility and promoting jingoism may temporarily help the BJP divert attention from its political and governance failures, but such actions seriously undermine regional peace and all efforts toward resolving longstanding disputes, including the Kashmir issue.

He urged New Delhi to abandon its confrontational posture and adopt a positive, constructive approach to settle all outstanding issues through dialogue, particularly the Kashmir dispute, which remains the core cause of tension between Pakistan and India.

The DFP spokesman also called upon the international community to take notice of India’s escalating war hysteria, warning that such policies pose a grave threat to peace and stability in South Asia and beyond.
