Three-storey house reduced to ashes in Srinagar fire incident
Srinagar: A three-storey residential house was gutted in a fire incident in Faizabad Colony of Naik Bagh, Nowgam, a suburb of Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials of the Fire and Emergency Services Department said that immediately after receiving a call about the incident, fire tenders were dispatched to the spot from several stations, including Nowgam, Rawalpora and Gakdal.
The teams worked for several hours to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent houses in the densely populated area.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The police have taken cognizance of the matter and are assessing the damage.
