APHC-AJK delegation meets AJK Prime Minister in Islamabad
Faisal Rathore pledges stronger international advocacy for Kashmir dispute
Islamabad: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, met the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, at Kashmir House in Islamabad, extending heartfelt congratulations on his assumption of office.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the AJK PM assured the delegation that his government would strengthen political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people’s freedom struggle across all international platforms. He pledged an active role in raising the Kashmir dispute at the global level.
The meeting emphasized that the Kashmir freedom movement is a collective national responsibility, achievable only through broad-based unity, mutual consultation, and coordinated diplomatic strategy. Both the Hurriyat leadership and the Prime Minister reaffirmed that the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom will continue with full determination until the Kashmiri people secure their right to self-determination.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi highlighted the Kashmiris’ expectation of strong political, diplomatic, and moral leadership from the Prime Minister of AJK at this historic moment. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister would prioritize both Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Azad Kashmir, playing an active and effective role in the interests of both the regions. He stressed that effective coordination and a joint strategy could reinvigorate the freedom movement.
The meeting also offered condolences over the passing of the young son of APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmad Shah and prayed for the departed soul.
