Resolution presented in Sindh Assembly against Indian Defence Minister’s statement

Karachi: A resolution was presented in the Sindh Assembly against the provocative statement of Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh regarding declaring Sindh province as a part of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, member Mukesh Chawla in the meeting chaired by Speaker Owais Qadir Shah presented a resolution against the Indian Defense Minister’s statement while speaking in the House on the resolution, government and opposition members strongly condemned India’s statement and made it clear that Sindh will always be a part of Pakistan.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that India will never succeed and Sindh will always be a part of Pakistan. He said the Modi government wants to use the river as a weapon, which he strongly condemns.

Other members of the Pakistan People’s Party said the atrocities committed against Muslims in India are in front of everyone and Pakistan’s forces are ready to give a befitting reply to every aggression.

Members of the MQM and Jamaat-e-Islami also condemned India’s statement and said India does not have the courage to confront Pakistan’s forces.

Meanwhile, protest rallies were taken out by students, teachers and citizens in various cities of Sindh against the provocative statement of Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in which the public expressed strong anger and resentment.

Students and teachers of Government Param Anand Lal High School in Dadu, led by Principal Kishore Lal and Peso Mal, took out a rally from the school to the main DHQ Hospital.

The participants termed the Indian minister’s statement as irresponsible and hateful and said Sindh has never been a part of India and never will be.

The speakers said Sindh is the heart of Pakistan and any controversial statement against it is unacceptable.

A similar protest rally was also taken out in Jamshoro. A large number of citizens marched from District Council Road to Main Jamshoro Road and strongly condemned the statement of the Indian defense minister.
