NIA, SIA conduct joint search operation in Srinagar’s Nowgam area

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a joint team of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted a search operation in Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the search was carried out at a rented accommodation in the Naikbagh area, allegedly linked to Molvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Nadigam in Shopian district, who is currently in the custody of the NIA.
Officials claimed the operation was part of the ongoing investigation into the appearance and circulation of posters in the Nowgam area.
Observers note that Indian forces and probe agencies often conduct raids and search operations across IIOJK under various pretexts. Such actions are widely seen as attempts to harass Kashmiris, creating an atmosphere of fear rather than addressing any genuine security concerns.
