India’s war frenzy: Large-scale IAF exercises announced near Pakistani border in Gujarat
New Delhi: Despite suffering a humiliating defeat in the May conflict with Pakistan, India’s aggressive military posture continues, with the announcement of large-scale air force exercises near the Pakistani border in the state of Gujarat.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Air Force has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), declaring that from January 20 to 21, specific airspace will be closed to international flights. Indian media reports confirm that the aerial drills will take place in the Kutch region of Gujarat, with Indian Air Force fighter jets, including Rafale, Sukhoi 30MKI, Jaguar, and other combat aircraft, participating. The exercises are expected to include high-speed sorties, aerial combat maneuvers, and possibly live-fire or bombing training.
Further details form Indian said that the airspace designated for the drills will cover highly sensitive areas along India’s southern border with Pakistan. These include parts of the Arabian Sea, Sir Creek, and regions near Rajkot and Ahmedabad, areas that have previously remained under close military observation.
Defense analysts view these developments as provocative military signaling, warning that such actions increase tensions in an already fragile regional security environment. Pakistani defense authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure national airspace security and regional stability.
It is worth noting that in May this year, Pakistan successfully thwarted India’s unprovoked aggression, downing seven Indian fighter jets, including the advanced French-made Rafale.
