Restore Articles 370 and 35A, Engineer Rashid demands in Indian Parliament
New Delhi: Engineer Rashid, a member of Lok Sabha, lower house of Indian parliament, from the Baramulla constituency in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has demanded the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A, which were revoked by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the jailed Kashmiri MP Rashid, who was allowed to attend Indian parliament session, said Kashmiris want the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A and that the Indian government will have to restore them. He said that there is nothing unconstitutional about demanding their return.
Everyone should remember, once and for all, that Article 370 guaranteed protection to every individual of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, region or religion, safeguarding their rights to life, property, land, environment, job, education and health, he remarked.
