Two Indian soldiers commit suicide in Odisha, Dehradun
Sundargarh: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) havildar committed suicide in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the havildar, identified as Subash Prasad, shot himself with his service rifle at the Matkamjharan CRPF camp under Lathikata police limits. The deceased was a native of Nandpur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district.
On being informed, Lathikata police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and launched an investigation.
The body has been kept at a government health facility in Rourkela and the postmortem will be conducted after his family arrives in the state.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) constable from Rajasthan’s Dausa died by suicide at the force’s centre in Mussoorie.

Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh said police reached the spot and launched an investigation. “Preliminary inquiry suggests that Chetram Meena hanged himself using a nylon rope tied to the window of his room,” he said.
Police brought the body down from the noose in the presence of videography and photography teams and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The body will be handed over to the family for last rites after the examination. Family members reached Mussoorie later in the day, police said.
