Islamabad: As the world marks World Day of Social Justice, today, minorities in India continue to face systemic marginalization under Modi as they are deprived of justice on each and every plank.
According to Kashmir Media Service, equality is the cornerstone of social justice, yet Muslims, Christians, Dalits and Sikhs face growing discrimination in India.
World Social Justice Day rings hollow for minorities confronting institutional bias in Modi’s India and India has no right to celebrate the Day when it is denying even basic human rights to its minorities.
India under Modi has witnessed a troubling rise in attacks on Muslims, Christians, Dalits and Sikhs and hate rhetoric by Hindutva figures has deepened fears among minority communities in India.
The Modi regime is working on a Hindutva agenda to militarize whole society against minorities and Escalating attacks on minorities pose serious human rights concerns for the international community.
Persecution of minorities in India has unmasked the true face of the so-called world’s largest democracy and the rising attacks on minorities, especially Muslims, Dalits, Sikhs and Christians in India is a challenge to the world.
The global community must come forward to stop persecution of minorities in India.
