Indian BSF Inspector commits suicide inside camp in West Bengal

Balurghat: An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) inspector committed suicide in West Bengal state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, panic spread after BSF Inspector Rakesh Sharma (58), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, shot himself with his service revolver inside his camp room at Gopinnagar BOP in South Dinajpur. He was posted at the 29th Battalion of the Border Security Force.

The incident occurred inside his camp room along the India-Bangladesh border. Fellow personnel rushed to the spot after hearing the gunshot and found him lying in a pool of blood.

He was pronounced dead on the spot.
