Congress protests price hike, slams India-US trade deal

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress staged a protest against the hike in LPG cylinder prices and criticized the India-US trade deal, stating it would harm the economy and common people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest, initially a rally organized by Congress on International Women’s Day, turned into a demonstration against the price increase. Congress leaders Tariq Hamid Karra and Raman Bhalla led the protest, calling the decisions “cruel” and insensitive to ordinary families.
Karra slammed the India-US trade deal, saying it prioritized US interests. The party expressed concern over the impact on agriculture, dairy sectors, and rural households relying on LPG cylinders.
