Dar expresses solidarity with women in Kashmir & Palestine

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and empowerment on International Women’s Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s progress in promoting gender equality, citing the country’s constitutional guarantees and its ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
He also emphasized Pakistan’s role in hosting the 9th Ministerial Conference on Women of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this year, aimed at advancing women’s rights across the Islamic world.
Dar expressed solidarity with women in Kashmir and Palestine, who are facing human rights violations and violence, stressing that women’s rights cannot be secured in isolation.
