Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh ‘never were and never will be’ parts of India: Pakistan
Islamabad: Pakistan continues to maintain a firm stance that Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh have never been a part of India and will not be recognized as such.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi in his weekly briefing clarified Pakistan’s position on the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the situation in occupied Ladakh.
He strongly rejected the creation of new districts in occupied Ladakh, calling it political engineering. He said India’s unilateral actions are a deliberate attempt to affect the legal status and political representation of a disputed region.
Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan’s position is clear that these actions are a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and have no legal status. He said according to Pakistan, the disputed status of occupied Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir cannot be changed by these actions.
