Sikh community holds protest in front of European Parliament in Brussels

Brussels: A huge protest was held by the Sikh community in Luxembourg Square in front of the European Parliament in the capital of the European Union, Brussels, under the slogan “Free Khalistan”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of political, social and business figures of the Sikh community from all over Europe, including Belgium, participated in the Freedom Rally organized by the Sikh Sangat Organization and the Gurdwara Administration.
The protesters raised slogans against the Modi government and called Indian democracy fake. They said India can no longer suppress the right of Sikhs to self-determination.
Sikh leader Gardial Singh in his address said that for the freedom movement, their elders rendered immense sacrifices, which will not be allowed to go waste.
He expressed his determination that the 40th anniversary of the declaration of Sikh Khalistan at the Akal Takht in Amritsar will be celebrated in a grand manner.
According to a statement issued by the Sikh Federation, UK, an important press conference has also been scheduled at the Brussels Press Club, in which India’s violation of UN resolutions and the oppression of minorities through Hindutva ideology will be exposed.
The protesters, citing the changing attitudes of world powers, including the US, China, UK and Germany, said that the world now considers India an unreliable country.
The participants of the rally made it clear that the ongoing independence movements within India will divide it into at least eight different states, including Khalistan, will emerge on the world map.
Sikh leaders on this occasion also appealed to the Pakistani military leadership to give moral support to their movement for the right to self-determination.
The protest continued for several hours, in which strong slogans were raised in favour of Khalistan.
