Indian Army seeks tech solutions from industry at Prayagraj symposium

New Delhi: The Indian Army is hosting a three-day North Tech Symposium in Prayagraj from today to seek industry solutions for technology gaps in combat systems, focusing on drones, AI, robotics, and navigation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the event, jointly organised by Northern and Central Commands with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers. Some 284 vendors are expected to present solutions to 87 specific Army needs, including ‘kamikaze’ drones, AI-based threat detection, and armed robotic systems.

The Northern Command handles Pakistan and China along the LAC in Ladakh, while Central Command covers LAC in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The symposium theme is “Convergence of Technology, Industry and Soldiering.”
