West Bengal: BJP workers raise Jai Shri Ram slogans in front of Mamata Banerjee’s residence

Kolkata: In Kolkata, the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party workers raised slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” in front of the residence of former chief minister Mamata Banerjee.

According to Kashmir Media Service, there were only a few policemen and some personnel of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in front of Mamata Banerjee’s house. Security has been reduced outside the former chief minister’s house and people can now easily reach Harish Chandra Chatterjee Street, where Mamata’s house is located.

The BJP workers and supporters raised these slogans while going to the Brigade Parade Ground to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, workers of the Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee also reached there and raised slogans of Jai Bangla.

It may be recalled that BJP’s Suvindwa Dhikari was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday. He is the first BJP chief minister in the state after the recent controversial elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.
