APHC-AJK pays glowing tributes to TeH leader Wali Muhammad Shah

Islamabad:The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of the renowned leader of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Wali Muhammad Shah and expressed its condolences to the bereaved family.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Wali Muhammad Shah passed away in Sopore, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC-AJK chapter organized a prayer meeting under the chairmanship of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, in which glowing tributes were paid to Wali Muhammad Shah for his exemplary services to the Kashmir freedom movement and religion.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi on the occasion said that the deceased was a very sincere leader who dedicated his entire life to the movement for the right to self-determination. He said that the late Wali Muhammad Shah was not only a very thoughtful and active leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami in occupied Kashmir, but was also a very close associate of the founding chairman of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and the veteran Hurriyat Syed Ali Gilani.

He said the deceased never retreated from his principled stance despite Indian state oppression, imprisonment, political revenge and continuous pressure.

The participants of the prayer meeting reiterated their resolve that the Kashmiri people would never forget the sacrifices of their great martyrs and leaders and would continue their struggle until they achieve the right to self-determination.
At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the elevation of the deceased’s rank, patience for the bereaved family and early freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian rule.

Senior Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Zahid Safi, Syed Gulshan, Abdul Majeed Mir, Zahoor Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and others participated in the meeting.
