Elderly Muslim man killed for objecting to loud music at birthday party in UP

Lucknow: A Hindutva group attacked and stormed into a Muslim’s home and killed a 65-year-old Muslim man in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.

According to Kashmir Media Service, what began as a birthday celebration in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district this week ended in tragedy when a dispute over blaring DJ music turned fatal for 65-year-old Zahid. His sole “offense” was asking for the volume to be lowered late at night.

The confrontation unfolded on May 11 in Kanshiram Colony, under the jurisdiction of Charkhari police station. According to reports, tempers flared between the family of the deceased and a group of locals playing loud music at a birthday party being held at the home of a resident named Usha. When Zahid’s family objected to the noise, tensions boiled over.

A group of men stormed into Zahid’s home and fatally attacked him and other family members. Zahid sustained severe injuries and collapsed.
