BJP regime’s propaganda machinery misleading about IIOJK ground realities

Islamabad: The Indian BJP government cannot hide the ground reality about the worsening situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by distorting the truth and twisting facts through its propaganda machinery based on lies and deception.

According to Kashmir Media Service, political analysts and those closely watching the ground situation in IIOJK said the Narendra Modi-led Hindutva BJP government is attempting to mislead the world by using its pliant media to publish fake reports about the so-called peace and development in the occupied territory.

They said the BJP regime is holding so-called rallies in the name of “Nasha Mukt” by the LG along with Indian forces, both in civvies and uniform, aimed at diverting the attention of the international community from its atrocities and ulterior motives in IIOJK.

The truth of the matter, the analysts and Kashmir watchers said, is that Modi’s illegal move of 5 August 2019 has put IIOJK into reverse gear in all spheres of life. They maintained that the unilateral and illegal actions of 5 August 2019 and other tyrannical measures taken afterwards by the Indian government have added to the miseries and fear among the Kashmiri people and further aggravated the already volatile situation in the South Asian region. They added that no sane investor would even think of investing in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which is a nuclear flashpoint in the region.

A political analyst based in Srinagar said in a media interview, on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals by the Indian government, that “a sense of security in any place does not come with conferences.” He said, “We are suffering silently and we feel cut off from the buzz outside as the region is under military and police control. We are just surviving each day.”

The political analysts and Kashmir watchers said the people of IIOJK want peace, dignity and development, which will only be possible after Kashmiris get the right to plebiscite under the supervision of the United Nations. They said the Kashmiri people are not against peace and development, but breaking the shackles of Indian slavery is their prime objective. They also maintained that lasting peace and prosperity in the South Asian region is impossible until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as enshrined in the UN resolutions.

The observers on the dialogue process by the RSS and former Indian army chief said that it should not be a time-gaining tactic or limited to the exchange of gifts, functions, music and dishes in the name of culture, but should focus on the core issue — the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir — which can bring peace and a congenial atmosphere to the region.
