IIOJK: Another Kashmiri’s property seized in Srinagar

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the administration under the New Delhi-imposed Lieutenant Governor has confiscated the property of another Kashmiri in Srinagar district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, police acting on the orders of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha seized a residential house along with seven marlas of adjoining land, valued at around INR 1.50 crore, in the Parimpora area of Srinagar.

The property belongs to Owais Amin Denthoo, a resident of Parimpora. Indian police claimed that the asset was allegedly acquired through proceeds of illegal drug smuggling.

It is noteworthy that after the abrogation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the BJP-led Indian government has intensified colonial actions leading to the deprivation of Kashmiris’ homes and properties on various pretexts.
