DFP pays tribute to Mirwaiz Farooq, Abdul Ghani Lone and Hawal martyrs

Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has paid rich tributes to Shaheed- Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq, Shaheed Abdul Ghani Lone, and the Hawal martyrs on their martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, DFP spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal said the Kashmiri nation is indebted to the sacrifices of these great martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom from Indian domination.
Iqbal said history stands witness that nations which remain steadfast and committed to their cause eventually achieve their cherished goal of nationhood after winning the battle against oppressors. He said the tradition of remembering martyrs rejuvenates the pro-freedom spirit and strengthens the people’s bond with those who sacrificed their lives.
Lauding the supreme sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs, the spokesman said the path to freedom is always filled with thorns and hardships. He expressed hope that the day was not far when Kashmiris would achieve their cherished goal of freedom.
Iqbal added that the world cannot turn away from the Kashmir issue and the people’s legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination for long, and must resolve it according to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front also paid tributes to Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone and the martyrs of Hawal on their martyrdom anniversaries. JKNF spokesman Advocate Muhammad Haseeb Wani in a statement in Srinagar said the two leaders made significant contributions to highlighting the aspirations and political rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Wani urged the international community to play an effective role in ensuring the realization of the right to self-determination through peaceful and democratic means.
