Bangladesh’s important decision, shifts civil servant training from India to Pakistan

Lahore: Bangladesh has taken a big decision and shifted civil servant training from India to Pakistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Bangladeshi officers are receiving training in Lahore for the first time, which is being described as a significant change in Dhaka’s foreign policy.
Bangladesh has suspended its old training system with India and has also increased defence and economic cooperation with Pakistan.
According to media reports, Bangladesh has signaled a major diplomatic shift by shifting its senior civil service officer training program from India to Pakistan, under which senior bureaucrats are receiving training at the Civil Services Academy in Lahore for the first time.
According to the report, this decision is part of a broader change in Bangladesh’s foreign policy after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in 2024, under which Dhaka is improving relations with Islamabad by reducing its dependence on India.
