New Delhi using brutal tactics to muzzle freedom voice of Kashmiri people: APHC

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has said that New Delhi is using every brutal tactic and hatching sinister designs to muzzle the freedom voice of the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, but the Kashmiris remain determined to defeat every such plan and continue their struggle against all odds.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said that sleepless nights amid continued cordon and search operations, house raids, and harassment have caused mental torture and misery to the oppressed people of the territory.
He said the BJP-led Indian government’s violent and repressive policies aimed at silencing the Kashmiri voice were denying basic rights to the people of IIOJK and seeking to intimidate them into submission.
The APHC said India was violating international laws as its dreaded probe agencies, including the National Investigation Agency, State Investigation Agency (SIA), and forces’ personnel continue to raid the homes of Jamaat-e-Islami members, political activists, and even ordinary civilians, subjecting them to harassment.
The statement said that India has turned Kashmir into the world’s largest open-air prison, where all political and social rights of the people have been usurped.
The APHC spokesman said Hurriyet leaders, activists and youth continue to languish in Indian and IIOJK jails and are being punished and victimized for their uncompromising stand on the Kashmir dispute.
He added that the world community must recognize that the BJP is using Kashmiris as scapegoats to advance its communal agenda, urging it to intervene to stop India’s repressive policies and pressurize it to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.
