Indian repression cannot break Kashmiris’ freedom resolve: Faiz Naqshbandi

Islamabad: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, has expressed grave concern over the deteriorating situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), particularly the arbitrary arrests of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, in a statement issued in Islamabad, said that the ongoing cordon and search operations, repeated raids, and the indiscriminate use of black laws have created an atmosphere of fear, terror, and uncertainty across the occupied territory. He said that the targeting Kashmiri youth through unjustified arrests is highly alarming and constitutes a blatant violation of fundamental human rights and international law.
The APHC-AJK leader maintained that India, through such oppressive measures, cannot suppress the spirit of freedom among the Kashmiri people. He urged the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the grave human rights situation in IIOJK and play their role in ensuring the protection of the basic rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people.
Faiz Naqshbandi further said that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are struggling for their internationally recognized right to self-determination, adding that lasting peace in South Asia is directly linked to the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
