Message of Karbala echoed as Alam procession held in IIOJK

Srinagar : The universal message of Karbala and sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) was highlighted during the United Alam procession held in different areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on 7th Muharram.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the central Alam procession was led by senior APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi under the auspices of Anjuman Sharie Shian in Srinagar.

Scholars affiliated with Anjuman Sharie Shian addressed congregations before the processions and emphasized the need to preserve Hussaini mourning traditions. They stressed acquainting the younger generation with the message of Karbala, Hussaini values, and Islamic moral teachings so this sacred legacy is passed to future generations.

Members and volunteers of Anjuman Sharie Shian maintained discipline and facilitated arrangements during the central procession.

Mourners paid homage to the martyrs of Karbala through elegiac recitations and chest-beating, with slogans of “Labbaik Ya Hussain (RA)” echoing across Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora, Baramulla and Pulwama districts.
