Kashmiris linked future with Pakistan on July 19, 1947: Hurriyat

Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while describing July 19 as an important day in the history of Kashmir, have said that in 1947, the people of Jammu and Kashmir had decided to accede to Pakistan even before the partition of the subcontinent.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the genuine representatives of the Kashmiris unanimously passed the resolution for Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan on this day in 1947 during a meeting of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference at the residence of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan in the Aabi Guzar area of Srinagar.
The APHC leaders and parties, including Jammu Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyet, Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Jammu and Kashmir Students and Youth Forum, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, Pirwan-e-Wilayat, Peoples Freedom League, Democratic Political Movement, Freedom Movement, Mass Movement, Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Gujjar Pahari Republic Forum, Peoples Movement, Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Muslim Democratic League, Tehreek-e-Mazahamat, Employees Movement, Mahaz-e-Azadi, National Front, Tahreek-e-Istiqlal, Islamic Political Party, Kashmiri Freedom Front, Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Istiqamat, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Social Youth Forum, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party, and Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, in their statements said that the decision of July 19, 1947 was a testimony to the fact that the people of Kashmir had linked their future with Pakistan.
The parties urged the United Nations Secretary-General to take cognizance of the war crimes being perpetrated by Indian troops in the internationally recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir and to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.
The APHC leaders and organizations said the people of Kashmir express their love for Pakistan every year by observing July 19 as Accession to Pakistan Day. They said it was on this historic day that the Kashmiri leadership unanimously decided to link their future with Pakistan, even before the establishment of Pakistan.
