Muzaffarabad: Burhan Muzaffar Wani District Press Club office-bearers administered oath
Muzaffarabad:The oath-taking ceremony of Burhan Muzaffar Wani District Press Club was held in Muzaffarabad, in which various political, religious and social figures, as well as a large number of journalists, participated.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the special guests of the ceremony were All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Zahid Safi, Supreme Head of All Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Qazi Mahmoodul Hassan Ashraf, former president of Burhan Muzaffar Wani District Press Club Sardar Yunus Khan Niazi, Raja Abdullah Imtiaz, Zawar Hussain Naqvi, Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Maryam Kashmiri, Aamir Abbasi, Manik Pian, Shabbir Mughal, Malik Mustafa, and Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf and others.
The speakers on the occasion congratulated the newly elected members and expressed the hope that all members of the Press Club will continue to play their active role in becoming the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris.
The newly elected office bearers also reiterated their commitment that they would continue to work day and night to resolve the problems of the journalistic community, uphold the truth and fulfill their journalistic duties.
At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of Kashmiri martyrs and the early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
During the ceremony, Zahid Safi administered the oath of office to the newly elected office bearers.
Chaudhry Kashif took the oath as President, Pervez Khan Durrani as Senior Vice President, Iftikhar Abbasi as General Secretary, Umair Rajput as Vice President, Nafeesul Hassan Abbasi as Vice President, Khawaja Tamkeen as Vice President Women, Qazi Saeed Abbasi as Chief Organizer, Abid Qureshi as Deputy General Secretary, Waqas Khan as Joint Secretary and Saima Bukhari as Liaison Secretary.
Meanwhile, Saiqa Awan took the oath as Vice Chairperson of the Executive Council, Mushtaq Kayani, and Arif Chahlvi as members of the Executive Council.
