Pakistan reaffirms unwavering support for Kashmiris’ for right to self-determination
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly rejected India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, saying the measures were aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, marking the seven years since the BJP-led Indian government’s August 5, 2019 actions, the Foreign Office spokesperson, in a statement issued on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s just struggle for the realization of their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
The spokesperson paid tribute to the courage, resilience and steadfastness of the people of IIOJK in the face of continued Indian repression.
The statement further said that Pakistan would continue to extend its full support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
