Pakistan’ envoy Dr Faisal lauds KCEU’s Chairman’s effort for Kashmir cause
London: High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom Dr Muhammad Faisal has applauded the services of Chairman of Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed for Kashmir cause in Europe.
The Kashmir Council EU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, met the Pakistani High Commissioner in London during which the ongoing efforts to highlight the Kashmir dispute and particularly in Europe were discussed.
High Commissioner Dr Faisal, while appreciating the efforts of Chairman of the Kashmir Council EU to highlight the dispute of Kashmir, especially raising voice in favor of the human rights of people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir in Europe, said that these efforts are highly commendable. He also congratulated Ali Raza Syed for receiving the Human Rights Award from the Human Rights Council of Pakistan and wished him well.
The Pakistani High Commissioner expressed hope that the coming of the newly elected government in Pakistan after the elections of February will help in effective efforts to raise the Kashmir dispute at the international level.
Ali Raza Syed on the occasion said the problems of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are increasing day by day and Indian forces are continuously committing crimes against the oppressed Kashmiris to maintain its illegal occupation of Kashmir.
He said the recent report of Human Rights Watch, an international human rights organization, has confirmed the extrajudicial killings and severe violations of fundamental rights of Kashmiris by the Indian authorities in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Ali Raza Syed further said until India stops human rights abuses, and the Kashmir issue is resolved as per the wishes of Kashmiris, ‘we will continue to raise our voices in favor of Kashmiris in Europe.’
He said that it is the responsibility of the international community to play an effective role in preventing human rights violations in the occupied territory and for a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute.
